Manufacturing Strategy Ontology

Overview
This ontology identifies the set of high level concepts and relationships which are the building blocks of a manufacturing strategy based on part families and features, manufacturing methods, manufacturing resources and their arrangement. Such a strategy falls in the context of cellular manufacture and group technology. Feedback relationships are also present in the model to capture important interactions that need to take place in order to use knowledge from actual part manufacture and factory configurations to influence and improve the planning of future part families and manufacturing methods. The ontology builds on top of the work referenced further below.
